Meta's new AI supercomputer is set to be the fastest in the world by mid-2022

Meta announced a new AI supercomputer, AI Research SuperCluster (RSC), on Monday. It will be the fastest AI supercomputer in the world in mid-2022. Artificial intelligence (AI) was at the heart of high-tech giants, including meta. Since 2013, the company has made various developments in the field of artificial intelligence, including self-managed learning.

Meta said in a blog post is that “AI can currently perform tasks like translating text between languages and helping identify potentially harmful content, but developing the next generation of AI will require powerful supercomputers capable of quintillions of operations per second,”

Added that “RSC will help Meta’s AI researchers build better AI models that can learn from trillions of examples; work across hundreds of different languages; seamlessly analyses text, images and video together; develop new augmented reality tools and more,”

"Ultimately, the work done at RSC will pave the way for building the technology of the next great computing platform, the Metaverse. AI-driven applications and products will play a major role in the Metaverse. Use of AI Since 2013, the company has been developing various AI including self-study.

“To get the most out of advanced AI, we need to train larger and more complex models in different areas, such as vision, voice, and language,” it said. AI is also used for "important use cases" such as removing malicious content on the platform.

"At the beginning of 2020, we decided that the best way to accelerate progress was to design a new computing infrastructure, the RSC." The social media giant elaborated on plans to use AI supercomputers to build for the Metaverse.

“RSC allows you to train models that use multimodal signals faster to determine if an action, sound, or image is harmful or benign. This study is in current service. Not only will it help keep people safe, but it will also help when building for the Metaverse in the future". As the RSC moves to the next phase, as it begins to lay the foundation for the Metaverse, the RSC We plan to be bigger and more powerful.
