Prime Minister Modi will unveil the 216-foot statue of Equality in Hyderabad on February 5.

The "Statue of Equality," is is located in a 45-acre complex in Shamshabad on the outskirts of the city. The organizer said in a press release on Thursday that is "Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicates a statue of equality to the world on February 5, 2022, which is the height of Sri Ramanujacharya, an 11th century Bakthi saint and revolutionary social reformer.

This event, along with 1,035 "Yaaga" fire oblation, is said to be the largest in modern history and will feature a large number of mantra chants and other spiritual activities as part of Ramanuja Sahaslabdi "Samaroham". It was said that the saint was to celebrate his 1000th birthday.

The event will start on February 2nd. According to a press release, Telangana Prime Minister K Chandrasekharlao will host the event with renowned spiritual guru Cinnazyarswami. Several other prime ministers, politicians, celebrities and actors also attended the event. The Rs 1,000 Crore project was fully funded by donations from followers around the world.

The god of the sanctuary inside Ramanujacharya is made of 120 kg of gold to commemorate the 120 years that the saints walked on this earth. According to a press release, President Ram Nath Govind will announce the inner chamber of the Ramanuja statue on February 13. The 216-foot outdoor statue is said to be one of the tallest statues in a sitting pose.

The statue is made of "Pancharoha", a mixture of five metals: gold, silver, copper, brass and zinc. This complex features 108 Divya Desam, 108 intricately carved Vishnu temples mentioned in the works of Alvars, and the same replica of the mysterious Tamil saint. Born in Sriperumbudur, Tamilnadu in 1017, Ramanujacharya has the basic belief that all human beings are equal, regardless of nationality, gender, race, caste or beliefs. It has freed millions of people from social, cultural, gender, educational and economic discrimination.

He opened the doors of temples to all people, including those subjected to extreme discrimination. He remains a timeless icon of equality for social reformists around the world, it said. “We heartily welcome everyone including chief guests, dignitaries, devotees, and people from all walks of life for the grand opening of Statue of Equality," said Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Ramanujacharya has remained a true icon of equality for 1,000 years and this project will ensure his teachings are practised for at least another 1,000 years, he said.

"Our mission is to make the Statue of Equality a culturally paramount destination for people across the globe and inspire everyone to make the world a more equal place to live. Today, when the world is full of division and populism, the ideology of Ramanujacharya is the order of the day, "he said.

According to the press release, the groundbreaking ceremony for this project took place in 2014.The 54-foot high base building named ‘Bhadra Vedi’ has dedicated floors for a Vedic digital library and research centre, ancient Indian texts, a theatre, an educational gallery and a robust multi-language audio tour detailing many works of Ramanujacharya.
