In 2003, the 128036 astroid in the main asteroid belt was named after him.
The asteroid is now called the Rafale Nadal asteroid.
The asteroid was named by the International Astronomical Union.
Achievements
• Nadal is ranked at fifth place by the ATP ranking. He was ranked number one for 209 weeks. Nadal has won 62 ATP singles titles. This includes 13 French open titles. Also, he has won Olympic gold medal, five Davis Cup titles.
• Davis Cup tournament is organized by the International Tennis Federation. He has continuously won 81 matches on clay.
• This is the world longest single surface win. He was the first person to win on all the three different surfaces such as clay, grass and hard surface.
